Quotes of the week:
“The cost of leadership is self interest.” Simon Sinek
Long week and busy week. But good in a lot of ways too. Numerous lunches/dinners/catch ups with friends and co-workers, dinner with Am-Ex in the Ogden (insights into a whole different world that exists out there), Zappos Vendor party last Sunday night, went to trivia at Hennessey’s for the first time (by myself which was kind of boring), had a crazy week at work, saw Simon Sinek speak, went to Cathedral Gorge State Park on the way up to Great Basin National Park, went spelunking (or caving), saw some amazing stars at the second least visited national park in the country, climbed my first 13,000 foot mountain, made it home in time to consider going to play soccer, but had a couple of reunions instead, and am no longer a cat sitter. Not bad.
1) Blog consistently.
First food reviews up! And more coming. Along with a complete recount of the misadventures of my trip North.
2) Get outdoors.
Definitely got outdoors.
3) Continue to make my position evolve.
One of the most catalyzing weeks at work I’ve had in a while. Maybe some formal changes soon. Ironically, staying with the Learning Village at least in part.
4) Read more.
Finished Stumbling on Happiness and Mortality. Struggling through A Brief History of Thought.
5) Stay in touch with people better.
Talked to John. Saw Yoni too.
6) Finish up my obligations in Chapel Hill.
Waiting for my next round of revisions still. Maybe I should push that button again…
7) Run the half or full marathon in Las Vegas this November.
Climbed a mountain. Does that count for training? Will start running again once I catch up on some serious sleep.
8) Get 7 hours of sleep a night.
As from above, haven’t caught up on sleep.
