Weekly Review 4/21

Busy week. Saw Chip Heath speak this week, gave him a tour, worked on a new project, saw John Mackey speak, finished up prep for a company retreat, executed the retreat, went snowmobiling for the first time, was pleasantly surprised by the retreat but saw room for progress, ate two pounds of craw fish, made significant progress on the research front (more than in the previous 8 months at least), went to a friend’s going away party, and discovered a little more beauty in the desert.

1) Blog consistently.

No new blogging.

2) Get outdoors.
Going to Utah and snowmobiling counts, right?

3)  Continue to make my position evolve.
Finished an application for something I’m passionate about. And am working on other things.

4)  Read more.

No progress. Working on Friendfluence (still). Reading time is being cut down as I am stuck trying to write things for number 6.

5) Stay in touch with people better.
Phone call with Elizabeth (different one from last week).

6)Finish up my obligations in Chapel Hill.
Self-imposed hard deadline of end of May to finish a first draft. Made progress this weekend, but realistically, I only have a couple of weekends left to finish due to travel next month.

7) Run the half or full marathon in Las Vegas this December.
Does snowmobiling count as exercise?

8) Get 7 hours of sleep a night.
Didn’t get it at the retreat, but nor should I have.
