Weekly Review 8/11

Quote of the week:

“Life moves pretty fast. If you don’t stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.” Ferris Bueller

Family was/is in town, hence the late post. New batch of Fellows in town, getting them on boarded while looking towards my own next steps. Saw Les Miserables and reconnected with Downtown while touring around with the new folks. Saw David Copperfield on Saturday, and went to the Grand Canyon on Sunday. Lot’s of good food in between too.

1) Blog consistently.
Updated pages. Categorized things. Have a growing list of topics. And am in town for a change this weekend.

2) Get outdoors.
Grand Canyon Sunday with the family.

3) Continue to make my position evolve.
The opportunity is there. Now I have to decide what to do for the next little while.

4) Read more.
Finished Join the Club and Investing for Dummies.

5) Stay in touch with people better.
Don’t think I talked to anyone. But my family is in town, and we’ve spent a good bit of time together. That counts, right?

6) Finish up my obligations in Chapel Hill.
Waiting for the next round of revisions.

7) Run the half or full marathon in Las Vegas this November.
Did go running on Tuesday. Haven’t gone running since. I’ve played in two soccer games? And the second was at 8:30 at night after being up since 3:30 in the morning and eating dinner at a buffet right before it…

8) Get 7 hours of sleep a night.
My plans for this weekend consist of getting a hair cut and catching up on sleep.

  1. I think you get 1/2 credit on #5 for a conscientious effort to reach me. One of these days I’ll be available when you call!
