Quotes of the week:
“Modern man thinks he loses something- time- when he does not do things quickly, yet he does not know what to do with the time he gains except to kill it.” Erich Fromm
“Time is all you have. And you may find one day that you have less than you think.” Randy Pausch
Hiking Monday, Lowdown Tuesday, more definition and direction for my job, Pride Parade Friday, lot’s of reading over the week, so much football over the last few days, double-header in soccer, and joined WhatsApp to keep in touch with the family abroad, which is going to be really interesting…
1) Blog consistently.
Kinda sorta.
2) Get outdoors.
Hiked Ice Box Canyon in Red Rock on Monday.
3) Continue to make my position evolve.
Full on with the Learning Village. Along with doing a couple of other things.
4) Read more.
Finished on Ungifted, A Devil’s Chaplain, The Power of Slow, Smart Thinking, and The Other 8 Hours. Apparently I read a lot… Not sure what I’m going to start next. Way behind on reviews though, so that’s what I’m going to be doing next. Along with changing it to more a book review format rather than just a snippet.
5) Stay in touch with people better.
Talked to Will, Adelaide, and Ariana. And saw Eddie.
6) Finish up my obligations in Chapel Hill.
Waiting for my next round of revisions still. Maybe I should push that button again…
7) Run the half or full marathon in Las Vegas this November.
Soccer, soccer, all the time. And I have classes somewhere else.
8) Get 7 hours of sleep a night.
Still doing well. Making myself go to bed earlier. I think SleepCycle might be influenced by sleep time more than quality though…
What is WhatsApp?
