Quotes of the week: Throwbacks from VFA bootcamp a year ago.
“You have to become diagnostic experimentation machines. Be ruthlessly optimistic and relentlessly skeptical.” – Jeff Lawrence
“Entrepreneurs are by definition crazy. Because they see things that other people don’t.” – David Rose
“If you aren’t scared, you’re doing it wrong.” Fred Dust.
Week started off rough, a bit stressful, but ended really well. Also had our first companies come in as a part of Firebrand/Progression labs which is really exciting. Back in Providence for the first time since last summer, and I’m getting to see some old friends, both from VFA and from school. So the last few days have been really good for a variety of reasons. A lot of relaxing, catching up with old friends, and making new ones within the VFA 2013s.
1) Blog consistently.
Got some pieces in the works limbo.
2) Get outdoors.
Went to the beach. Does that count?
3) Continue to make my position evolve.
Slowly but surely.
4) Read more.
Working through Black Swan. Highly recommend it to anyone and everyone.
5) Stay in touch with people better.
No phone convos, but am catching up with all my fellow 2012 Fellows, making friends with the 2013 Fellows, making plans to see Sarah next week, and hopefully Virginia tonight or Tuesday.
6) Finish up my obligations in Chapel Hill.
I actually need to follow up on this.
7) Run the half or full marathon in Las Vegas this November.
Traveling. This coming week has no real excuses though…
8) Get 7 hours of sleep a night.
Did not happen. But travel and spending time with friends made this unfeasible.
